Kathryn Louise Schmoekel Obituary
The memory of Kathryn Louise Schmoekel of Marion, Texas, who passed away on January 30, 2025 at the age of 91, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hedwig F. Wenske (Frankenhauser) and Albert T. Wenske; her great great grandchildren, Grace and Vivian Castro; and her siblings, Evelyn Forshage (Alex), Ruby Elley (Raymond), Ida Mae Mergle (James) and Billy Ray Lubbock.
She is survived by: her husband Leroy; her children, Rodney Schmoekel (Dora) and Deborah Parsons (Aubrey); her grandchildren, Eric Schmoekel (Misty), Stacy Vasquez, Quintin Parsons (Bobbie Jo), Kevin Parsons (Andrea) and Janette Parsons; and her sisters-in-law, Arlene Lubbock and Barbara Schmoekel. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel (165 Tor Dr, Seguin, TX 78155). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (606 S Center St, Marion, TX 78124).
