Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Virginia Mae McCord of Marietta, Texas, born in Hickman, Kentucky, who passed away at the age of 89, on November 25, 2023. She was predeceased by: her husband Roy G. McCord; her parents, Logan Tate, Sr. and Beatrice Tate (Jeter); and her siblings, Logan Tate, Jr., Harold Tate and Dorothy Tate.

She is survived by: her children, Deborah Carpenter of Marietta, Texas, Leon McCord (Mary) of Dalton, Texas and Jeffery McCord (Nora) of Marietta, Texas; her siblings, Betty Medlin of Greenfield, Indiana, David Tate (Bonnie) of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Larry Tate (Mary) of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and her grandchildren, Melissa Shae Bonner (Reginal) of Longview and Roy Daniel. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; 18 great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
