It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Fields Jr. (Marietta, Texas), who passed away on January 16, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Velma Fields; his children, Clavis Fields and Vera Beasley; his parents, Samuel Fields, Sr. and Caroline Fields; and his siblings, Jewel Fields Richardson and J. Horace Fields.
He is survived by: his children, Samuel Glynn Fields, Benjie Fields, Johnny Fields, Ian Fields, Ronny Fields (Yolanda), Stacye, Tracye Burns, Sonja Harper (Robert) and Louisa Haire (Kenneth); his brothers, Jimmie Henderson and Clarence "Karli" Henderson; and his sister-in-law Arnita Fields. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three step-daughters; two step-sons; and a host of other relatives and friends.
