He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Jack" Fletcher and Susie Ann Shew; and his siblings, James W. "Bully" Cook, J. T. Cook, Bessi Pearl Surratt and Minnie Merle Mitchell.
He is survived by: his children, Roger Cook (Lisa) of Marietta, Robbie Heller (Marty) of Hughes Springs and Russell Cook (Donna) of Oklahoma; and his siblings, Mildred McDuffie of Linden and Donald Cook (Hope) of Marietta. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews great and great-great nieces and nephews.
