She was predeceased by: her parents, Arklo King and Melba King; her siblings, Napoleon Barber, Charles E. King, Otis E. King, Horace L. King and Nelda Sue King; and her daughter Matricia Ann King.
She is survived by: her sons, Crawford M. King (Velma), Ronnie D. King (Brenda) and Reginald L. King; her granddaughters, Kimberly L. Henderson (Kentry) of Marietta, Texas., Lakeyia Pugh (Jonathan) and Denisha Afodewu (Elijah); and her siblings, Melbalene King Hannah, Mildred L. Taylor of Naples, Texas, Edwend L. King of Marietta, Harvey L. King (Sandra) of Texarkana and Willie L. King (Martha) of Pittsburg, Texas. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
The lying in state will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Reeder-Davis Funeral Home - Hughes Springs (1213 Hanes Blvd, Hughes Springs, TX 75656). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Spring Hill Cemetery.
