He was predeceased by: his parents, Cruz Zubiate and Sixto Zubiate; and his son Peter Zubiate (Ida Zubiate). He is survived by: his children, Hope Espinosa, Debra Carlin and Paul Zubiate; and his sisters, Evangeline Baldwin and Anita Segura.
