He was predeceased by: his grandmothers, Mattie Morris Shelby and Mattie Bell Gage; his siblings, Alice Christine Alexander and Albert Hunter Jr.; and his children, Teresa Kay Hall, Alicia Hunter and Natalie Marie Gonzaless.

He is survived by: his parent Albert Hunter; his children, Mattie Morris Hunter, April Shanell Davis and Kendhal Overton-Hunter; and also Bernice Hunter-Yett.
