It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joel Daniel Alderson (Marble Falls, Texas), born in Tuscola, Texas, who passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Andrew Alderson and Lizzie Adaline Brewer Alderson; and his siblings, Damon Alderson, Ruby Green, Lyda Mae Green, Ethel Tucker, Nora Lacy and Ada Ruth Goble.

He is survived by: his wife Nila Lavita Jackson of Smithwick; his brother Archie Lee Alderson; his daughters, Rhonda Bishop (Earl) and Sharon Pelky; his grandchildren, Melissa Baxley (James), Earl D. Bishop (Amy), Phillip Pelky and Amanda Hibler (Bryan); and his great grandchildren, Morgan, Tyler, Cade, Cole and Clay. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
