He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Byrd Hancock and Dimple Merle Knott Hancock; his wife Patsy Ann Gerke (Pat); his children, Jamie Merlene Mont (Gene) of Copperas Cove, Janny Lynn McGinn of Kingsland and James Matthew Hancock (Matt) of Llano; his siblings, Vivia Kapchinski (Bib) of College Station, Mary Lea Wilson of College Station and Robby Arnold Hancock (Jeannie) of Plano; and his siblings-in-law, Billy Ray Gerke, Barbara Gorney (Leon) of Navasota, Darlene Trillenger (Larry) of Navasota and Linda Nobles (Eugene) of College Station. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews along with many friends.
