He was predeceased by: his father Carlos Coleman Bowen; his grandmother Erdice Carroll Bowen; his wife Juanita Gayle Bandy; his children, Larry C. Bowen and Kathy Bunting; his brothers, Vernon Bowen and Jack Bowen; his siblings-in-law, June Bowen, Diane Bowen, Bobbye King and Don Bandy; and his son-in-law Jim Bunting.

He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Seibert (Stan Lewis) and Ronnie Bowen (Karon); his sister Billie Jean Knight; his siblings-in-law, Jack Bandy (Nancy) and Cheryl Bandy; his grandchildren, Nathan, Chad, Lauren, Cooper, Summer and Carson; his great grandchildren, Damien, Elisa, Branson, Kealee, Chandlor, Allison, Laramie and Brigham; and his close friend Evelyn Cobb.
