She was predeceased by: her husband Johnny Ray Brooks; her parents, Andy Reed Penny, Sr. and Barbara Strickland; her stepfather George Strickland; her parents-in-law, Virginia and J. T. Brooks; and her siblings-in-law, Debbie Brooks, Wayne Brooks and Brett Brooks.
She is survived by: her daughter Jennie; her son-in-law David Atkison; her son Jonathan Brooks; her grandchildren, Brianna (Juan Gonzales), Bailey Hamilton (Levi Fry) and Zachary Hamilton (Chelsea Bills); her great grandchildren, Sophia Gonzales and Bently Fry; her brothers, Andy Reed Penny and Lindsey Wayne Penny; and her sister-in-law Sherry Brooks. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews.
