It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera Lee (Herron) Self of Manvel, Texas, born in Charleston, Mississippi, who passed away on November 23, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Frank Herron, Jr. and Ouince Ola Herron (Davis); her husband Arthur; and her brothers, John Lee Herron and Dominic Ira Herron.
She is survived by: her child Arnita Francine Jackson (Self); her son-in-law Danny Lee Jackson; and her sister Robbye Stein (Herron) Peppers (Charles Peppers). She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, grand and great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
