He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Cheek and Hattie Cheek; his wife Lois; his brothers, Zane and Roger Cheek; and his grandson David Bell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry Barnhart and Frances Pye; and his sisters, Betsy Ivey Bonnie Cheek (Tom) and Hilda Parrish. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great and great- great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
