It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Elizabeth Steans of Manvel, Texas, born in Anderson, Indiana, who passed away on June 10, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Mildred Downing, Alyce Lucas, Betty Anderson, James E. Downing and William "Billy" Downing.
She is survived by: her children, Judith Rene Steans, Carol Elizabeth Steans, Bruce Alvin Steans (Johanna) and Stacy Theodore Steans (Cecelia); her sister Mary Catherine Watkins; her grandchildren, Matthew, Jason, Jessica, Melinda, Marisa, Russell and Maria; and her great grandchildren, Demetrius, Vanessa, Shawn and Alexis. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
