He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Romero and Rebecca Romero (McGuire); his former wife JoAnn Romero; his children, Michael Sparkman, Orvile Leroy Sparkman and Diane Stocklein; his grandson Dalton Stocklein; and his sister Martha Jane Romero.
He is survived by: his wife Letha McBride; his stepson Joseph McBride (Marissa) of Manvel; his grandchildren, Shannon, Brianna Sparkman of Missouri and Darian Stoecklein of Missouri; and his sisters, Deborah Butler of Richmond and Doris Preuss (David) of Rosharon. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
