He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Rives and Anna Rives; his wife Geneva Rives; his brothers, Willard Rives, Billy Rives (Pat Rives) and Tommy Rives; his sons, Charley Rives Jr. (Bubba) and Don Stanley Rives; and his son-in-law Terry Neisler.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherry; his son-in-law Roy Weber; his daughters, Julie Neisler and Tina; his son-in-law Randy Jackson; his sister Donna; and his siblings-in-law, John Guillott, Hazel Rives and Janan Rives. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
