It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paula Ellen Gates of Mansfield, Texas, born in Dill City, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Scott Gates of Corpus Christi, TX; her parents, Charles Banwart and Nadine Banwart of Dill City, OK; her siblings, Richard Banwart of Dill City, OK, Aldon Banwart of Azle, TX and LaVanya Daniels of Rochester, MN; and her parents-in-law, Leon and Mary Lorine Gates of Tulsa, OK.
She is survived by: her husband Dr. Steven Gates of Fort Worth, TX; her children, Stephanie Sloan (Randall) of Fort Worth, TX and Jeffrey Gates (Courtney Kalbacker) of Augusta, GA; her granddaughters, Joanna and Eleanor; and her siblings, Robert Banwart of Perkins, OK, Marguerita Tutwiler of Clinton, OK and Deborah Norwood of Arlington, TX.
