He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jo Ross; his parents, Olena Fay Ross and Adolphus Alonzo Ross; and his sister Debbie Messmer. He is survived by: his children, Christi Parker, Amy Hixon and Greg Ross; his grandchildren, Jessica, Tiffany, Tanner, Jacob, Lucas and Olivia; his great grandchildren, Addison, Carson, Aubrey and Tinsley; and his brother David Ross.
