He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Wells and Ella Lee Wells (Crawford); and his niece Crystal Leigh Dixon. He is survived by: his wife Linda Williams of Manor, Texas; and his siblings, James Wells of Eastland, Tracy Bryson of Mt. Pleasant, Charles Wells of Rockdale, Paul Wells of Round Rock, Texas, Genell Dixon of Rockdale, Pamula Ogwu of Austin, Denise Brown of Round Rock and Dernika Polk of Hutto, Texas.. He is also survived by his grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
