She was predeceased by: her parents, Guadalupe Gutierrez and Sabina Gutierrez; her sisters, Angelita Carbajal and Molly Reyes; and her grandson Bobby Salas.

She is survived by: her children, Rita Gulisao (Bettina), Linda Reyes (Richard) and Eugene Escalante, Jr. (Marcelina); and her sister Anita Lara. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
