She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale Delvin Steenhoek and Mary Helen Brummel Steenhoek; and her brother Mark Lee Steenhoek. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Gerald Aalbers Th; her brother John (Debbie Steenhoek) of Pella, Iowa.; her children, Scott (Kerry Aalbers) of Burleson, Texas, Stan (DeAnn Aalbers) of College Station, Texas, Sheila (US Navy Captain) and Shelby (Stephanie Aalbers) of Mansfield, Texas.; and her grandchildren, Scott Aalbers II, Sydney Aalbers, Gerrit Nemec, Caden Aalbers, Anezka Nemec, Zofia Nemec and Stevie Aalbers. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
