He is survived by: his wife Janice Metcalf; his daughter Sherrise Palmer (Mike); his grandsons, James and Davis; his son Jeff Shaw (Maria); his grandchildren, Enrique and Gianna; his mother Lola Campney; his brother Owen Campney (Mary); his nieces, Sara and Amy; his brother DJ Campney (Skip); his nephews, Nick and Andy; his niece Amanda; his sister Nancy Campney; his nieces, Suzie and Patricia; and his nephew Peter.

In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored for donations to be made in Bruce's name to DarkSky International, which works to protect and restore the beauty of the night sky for generations to come.
