He is survived by: his mother Felisa Valdez; his wife Francisca Soto of Malakoff; his children, Agustin Soto (Denise Esparza) of Dallas, Maria Gutierrez (Neri) of Whitehouse and Sandra Arriola (Erasmo) of Houston; his siblings, Manuel Soto, Isidro Soto, Geronimo Soto, Rafael Soto and Angelica Soto; and his grandchildren, Cristiano Soto, Juliana Soto, Jordan Esparza, Janine Esparza, Issac Gutierrez, Anali Gutierrez, Vicky Gutierrez, David Gutierrez, Jayce Marks, Kaeli Arriola and Andrew Arriola.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home (842 NE Loop 7, Athens, TX 75752). A rosary will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Chapel (842 NE Loop 7, Athens, TX 75752). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Edwards Catholic Church (1310 S Palestine St, Athens, TX 75751). A burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at the Athens Cemetery (324 Lakeside Dr, Athens, TX 75751).
