He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin "Red" Sanders and Shirley Sanders; his siblings, Susan Sanders, Cynthia Barton, Tommy Sanders and Lesley Sanders; his brother-in-law Frank Lindemann; and his mother-in-law Ann Phillips.

He is survived by: his wife Renee'Sanders; his daughters, Amanda Harvey (Jerry) and Makayla Furlow; his siblings, Sylvia Sanders, Darlene Lindemann, Tanya Whitaker (Joey), Sonya Bobo, Harlan Sanders and Marlan Sanders (Betty); his father-in-law Eugene Phillips; and his brother-in-law Johnie Phillips (Winter). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
