She was predeceased by: her husband Mervin Nelson; her grandson Tom Van Ornum; her siblings, Alice, Dorothy, Betty and Walter; and her parents, Albert Heun and Charlotte Heun (Lyon).
She is survived by: her children, Marion Cox of Woodland, Janice Nelson of Gardner, Ruby Sherman of Fort Myers and Roger Nelson of Spring, Texas. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
