She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas and Gertie Thomas (Flint); her husband Cecil Spivey; her sons, James Spivey and Charles Spivey; her grandson David Wells; and her siblings, Fred Thomas, Retha Miller, Bettie Shouinard and James "Henry" Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Spivey (Kathleen) of Huntsville, Texas, Joyce Singletary (Dan) of Madisonville and Kathy Wells (Mark) of Bryan, Texas; her grandchildren, Greg Spivey (Julie), Carmen Spivey, Kimberly Singletary, Sara Newton (Matt), Janet Clifton (David) and Scott Wells; her great grandchildren, Ryan Spivey, Marlow Novastars, Charlie Newton, Aubrey Newton, Hank Newton, Peyton Clifton, Olivia Clifton and Abigail Clifton; her sister Johnnie Willhite of Katy, Texas; and her daughter-in-law Jane Spivey of Lovelady, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
