She is survived by: her sister Dora Dotson of Houston Texas; her children, Gene Gilbert, Sr. (Darlene) of Ennis, Bobby Whaley (Ashley) of Bryan, Texas, Mary Betts, Twanda Whaley and Annie Whaley of Madisonville Texas; and her brother-in-law Rev. William Dickey. She is also survived by great-grandson that she was raising, Dedrick Whaley, Jr.; fifteen grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; special nieces and nephews.
