He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Benjamin and Zeda Guyton Moore; his wife Patricia Anne Culp (Maguire); and his siblings, Houston Culp, Howard Culp, Obie "Buck" Culp, Vernon Culp, Joe Culp and Dorothy Snapka.

He is survived by: his children, William Hugh "Bill" Culp of Madisonville, Stephen Howard Culp (Lori Bisenburg) of Madisonville, Jeffery Scott Culp of Houston and Catherine Marie Culp of Madisonville; and his close friend Johnette Mathews. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
