It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean King of Madisonville, Texas, who passed away on July 13, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ancel Gafford and Lucy Gafford (Laird); her husband William Augustas King, Jr.; her granddaughter Lisa Nichols; her great grandchild Vincent Smith; and her sisters, Lela Maudeen Mason and Mary Beth Edmunds.
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Burns (Johnny) of Conroe, DaWayne King (Rita) of Groveton, Billy King (Michelle) of Pinehurst and Tracy Chachere (Mark) of Plantersville, Texas; and her grandchildren, Leslie, Kimberly, John, Jennifer, Darrell, Anthony, Timothy, Mark, Will, Aaron and Kevin. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
