With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jessie Compton (Mabank, Texas), born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 6, 2025 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Compton and Irene Compton; his siblings, Imogene, Helen, Shirley, Louise, Ray, Larry and Johnny; and his grandson Brenden Rockett.
He is survived by: his wife Lori; his children, Johnny Joe, Jessie Scott and Jessica; his stepsons, Andy, Jonathan and Tony; his grandchildren, Dustin, Dylan, Dalton, Ryan, Chris, Haley, Zack, Brayden, Britton, Junior, Dimitrius, Kira, Crixus, Zeke, Caleb, Cassidy, Madison and Gracie; and his siblings, Tommy, Lonnie and Debbie. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home (601 E Walnut St, Mabank, TX 75147). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Family's Home.
Jessie continued working at his second passion which was donating his time as a Peace Officer to the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office where he served as a Reserve Deputy for over 15 years.
