He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Hughey and Oneta Hughey (Black). He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Hughey; his children, Nathaniel Felts, Dustin Hughey, Amanda Kulsa (Philip) and Candice Hughey; his grandchildren, Madisen, Cadence, Brand, Dylan, Gracie, Kyleigh and Sammy; and his brothers, Roy Hughey and Douglas Hughey.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home (601 E Walnut St, Mabank, TX 75147). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
