It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald William Reichert (Mabank, Texas), born in Wyandotte, Michigan, who passed away on August 15, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Reichert and Stella Reichert (Prazma); his daughter Stasia Carolyn Gray; his son-in-law Harold Hughes; his great grandchild Eric Hughes; and his siblings, Pat Wieczorek, Susan Letkiewicz, Bob, George, Larry and Gene Reichert.
He is survived by: his wife Wilda Reichert of Mabank; his children, Teresa Mendoza (Michael) of Kansas, Darlene Hughes of Mabank, Susan Beecroft of Corsicana and Vern Reichert (Brenda) of Kingwood; his grandchildren, Harold Hughes III, Melissa Holleman, Gerald Reichert, Michael Mendoza, Jacob Mendoza, Salomona Mendoza, Sharon Harney, Christina Harney, Josef Camacho, Emma Gray, James Gray and Sara Burress; his sister Margaret Trojacek of Garland; and also, Jason, Heather, Matthew, Julie Vinson, April, Preston Asay, Linda, Jerry, Mike and Jim. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Hobby Crafters Foundation for 38 years making wooden toys for children.
