He was predeceased by: his parents, Billie Charles Harlin Sr. and Alice Harlin (Johnson); his son Billie Harlin III; his sister Barbara Ortiz; and his pet Sassy Lynn Harlin.
He is survived by: his significant other Sharon Smith; his daughter Jenilee Smith of Quinlan; and his siblings, Patsy Harlin of Collinsville, TX, Melinda Moore of Collinsville, TX and Alan Harlin (Kathleen) of Riverside, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
