Barbara Guinn Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Guinn (Mabank, Texas), born in San Diego, California, who passed away on November 26, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurine Manning, Frazier Thomas Manning and Mary Maurine Burgoon; her husband Billy Newell Guinn; and her sister Betty Ann Lawrence.

She is survived by: her daughter Ann Adamson (Bill) of Kaufman; her grandchildren, Billy Adamson (Laura) of Chatfield, Tanya Phillips (Chris) of Warsaw, Kevin Redden (Lisa) of Athens, Karie Redden and Anthony Murphy of Mabank; her great grandchildren, Ethan, LeaAnn, Brennan, Shelby, Jesse, Amy, Kara, Dalton, Mason, Tyler and Trevor; and her great great grandchild Jayton.

Barbara served at the Senior Center of Mabank Texas up until the day the center closed at the beginning of the Covid pandemic.

“Barbara was a dear friend to my family, for most of my life. Our families were together, from what I remember, every weekend and more. Those were the days of unlocked doors and friends popping in (literally) for visits and coffee. I give credit to her and Bill, for their fine examples of faith, marriage, parenting, loyalty and friendship! I remember, mostly, her beautiful big smile and unmistakable laughter!
