She was predeceased by: her mother Mildred Faye Fincher (Sanderson); her son Jeffrey Steele; her father Garland Fincher; and her siblings, Ronny Fincher, Gary Fincher and Betty Aydlott.

She is survived by: her husband J. B. Steele; her children, Rick Steele (Teresa) of Dallas and Kathy Littell (Steve) of Ennis; her grandchildren, Tamara (Brad), Ashly (Tony), Michael, David, Adam and Shannon; and her sister Barbara Eves (Dan). She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
