He was predeceased by: his parents, Matilde Anda and Inocencia De Anda; his wife Lupe; and his sisters, Maria Guarjardo, Carolina Rivas and Margarita Rodriguez.
He is survived by: his children, Eliberto, Eduardo (Claudia) of Geneva, Illinois, Yolanda (Dan) of Bartlett, Illinois, Efrain (Esther) of Lytle, Texas and Joe H. (Laura) of Wayne, Illinois; and his sister Lupe Hernandez of O'Donnell, Texas. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Tragically, Jose lost his son, Eliberto (survived by his wife, Vicky), in 2020 as a result of Covid.
