She was predeceased by: her parents, George Herbert Leavitt, III and Opal Mills Leavitt; her brother Stephen Leavitt; and her grandparents, Richard Mills, Maggie Mills, George, Jr. and Alice Leavitt.
She is survived by: her sons, Gloria and Medina; her husband Michael L. "Mike" Bendele, Sr. of Dunlay; her sons, Michael L. Bendele, Jr. of Dunlay and Stephen R. Bendele of San Antonio; her granddaughter Taitem Bendele; and her sisters, Barbara Henry (Jim) of San Antonio and Cindy Castillo (Joe) of San Antonio. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
