He is survived by: his wife Belinda Curiel Luna; his children, Rosie Cantu, Dora Benavides (Gil Benavides), Darlene Barrientos (Ramiro Barrientos Jr.), Ruben Luna Jr. (Jaimie Luna) and Richard Luna (Adela Luna); his grandchildren, Lauren Luna, Richard Owen Luna, Enoch Luna, Noah Luna, Deveny Barrientos and Dayla Barrientos; his stepsons, Samuel Curiel, Matthew Curiel and Mark Curiel; his mother Juanita Villegas Luna; and his siblings, Leticia Chenkus (Michael Chenkus), Alma Chavez (Clyde Chavez), Lynda Nora Sanchez (Mike Sanchez), Rene Luna Sr. (Mandy Luna), Jesus Luna Jr. (Michele Luna) and Hemmanuel Luna (Ruby Luna). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Heavenly Grace Funeral Home & Memorial Park (26873 White Ranch Rd, La Feria, TX 78559). A rosary was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM. A burial was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Restlawn Memorial Park (14166 US-83 BUS, La Feria, TX 78559).
