With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Vassberg of Lyford, Texas, born in Harlingen, Texas, who passed away on April 5, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Vassberg and Elsie Vassberg; his sister Carolyn Vassberg Kersten (Graham Kersten); and his brothers-in-law, James Branham and Rodney Mullins.
He is survived by: his wife Lew; his sons, Byron (Clarissa) and Brad; his grandchildren, Grant Vassberg (Nicole), Trent Vassberg (Megan) and Allison Vassberg Whittaker (Zach); his great grandchildren, Tristan Vassberg and Desmond Whittaker; his sister Nadine Branham; and his siblings-in-law, Vicki Cook (Randy), Gail Perkins (L. V.) and Randy Mullins (Melinda).
He was also a member of the Rotary Club, Lion's Club, and was Chairman of the American Heart Association fundraising dinner.
