He was predeceased by: his parent Claude James Sherman; his granddaughter Morgan Greenwood; and his cousin Corky Smith. He is survived by: his wife Thelma "Midget" Sherman (Forbus) of Lufkin; his daughter Tammy Seckler Sherman Greenwood (Ricky) of Huntington; his grandchildren, Mallorie Greenwood (Caleb) of Lufkin and Taylor Greenwood (Holli) of Huntington; his great grandchildren, Maddox Greenwood of Huntington, Kimber Greenwood of Huntington and IvieGrace Reece of Lufkin; his mother Evelyn Sherman (Smith) of Diana; his brothers, Herbert (Pat Sherman), Gary (Barbara Sherman), Ronnie (Linda Sherman) and Melvin (Nancy Sherman); his siblings-in-law, Teresa and Doug McLeod of Cypress; and his close friends, Roger, Andrea Johnson, Carl Smith and Danny Conaway. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carroway Funeral Home (2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church (1641 FM325, Lufkin, TX 75901).
