She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Uzzell and Juanita Uzzell (Fleming); her husband Sam Braden; her brother David Uzzell; and her great grandchildren, Braden Strebeck, Skyler and Tabitha Braamber.
She is survived by: her children, Kathryn Braden, Frank Mitchell and Sammy Braden; her granddaughters, Kristin Braamber, Dustina Mitchell, Kelley (Mike Chissus), Tiffany Braden and Hilliary Fontenot; her friend Pam Brown; her caregiver Jessica Ivy; her daughter Karen Mitchell; and her friends, Travis and Nelda Glover. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carroway Funeral Home (2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
