He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Shockley and Grace Marion Newton of El Paso; his sisters, Joan Cunningham of Montgomery and Jannette Leta Ferguson of El Paso; and his sons, Michael and Micheal Shockley.
He is survived by: his sister Iris Reed of Anthony; his son Dr. Paul R. Shockley; his caregiver Dr. Paul R. Shockley; his son-in-law Dr. Raul F. Prezas; his caregiver Dr. Raul F. Prezas; his grandchildren, Schaeffer Wesley Shockley (Corrie), Spencer Paul Shockley (Isabella), Seth Michael Shockley and Julianna Grace Hoover (Peyton); his girlfriend Diane Jones; his caregiver Diane Jones; and also Grace Shockley of El Paso. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Shockley Residence (553 N 2nd St, Timpson, TX 75975). A graveside service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Whitehouse Cemetery (416 Whitehouse Dr, Lufkin, TX 75901).
In lieu of flowers, special memorials may be made to Lufkin Memorial VFW Post 1836 and Auxiliary, 1800 Ford Chapel Rd., Lufkin, Texas 75901.
