He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlise McFarland, and Irene McFarland, Sr.; his wife Ivory Gene McFarland; and his siblings, Charles, Cuffis, Thomas, Juanita and Jeridine.
He is survived by: his siblings, Curtis, Carlise, Jr. (Geneva), Lloyd, Sr. (Lavonne), Herbert, Brinda (Jonathan) and Linda; and his children, Melvin, Jr. (Anissa), Tammy (Gary), Antonio (Linda), Annie (Kenneth), Rachael (Byron), Fannie (Philip) and Joseph. He is also survived by Twenty-three grandchildren; Fifteen great-grandchildren; and A wealth of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Colonial Mortuary Chapel (1600 Sayers St, Lufkin, TX 75904).
