She was predeceased by: her parents, James Pennington and Mable Pennington; her husband Thomas Spurlock; her son Thomas "Tommy" Spurlock; and her grandson James Spurlock.

She is survived by: her children, David Spurlock (Leora) and Ann Westbrook; and her grandchildren, Justin Spurlock, Carol Spurlock, Cyndi Spurlock, Amanda Nott, Casey Spurlock, Amber Hahn, Kimberly Hahn, Nicholas Hahn, Colby Moreland, Wesley Moreland and Arnulfo "Nufie" Cuevas Jr.. She is also survived by fifteen great- grandchildren.
