Joyce Ainsworth Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Ainsworth of Lufkin, Texas, who passed away on April 20, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clara Modisette (Allen) and James Alvie Modisette; her husband Thomas Ainsworth, Sr.; her son Thomas Ray "Tommy" Ainsworth, Jr.; and her siblings, Royce "Tadpole" Modisette, Darwin Modisette, Reggie Modisette and Robbie Mann.
She is survived by: her daughter Regina; her son-in-law Darrell Roberts of Diboll; her grandchildren, Darrell "Robby" Roberts, Jr. of Diboll, Brandi Simons (Kristopher) of Diboll, Thomas "Trey" Ainsworth III of Lufkin, Clay Ainsworth of Lufkin, Patricia Thompson (Steven) of Tyler, Leah Ainsworth of Nacogdoches and Austin Ainsworth of Nacogdoches; her nephew Bart Riley of Lufkin; and her siblings-in-law, Betty Riley of Lufkin and Travis Ainsworth (Johnnie) of Lufkin. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (6348 FM 58, Lufkin, TX 75901).
