Jerry Edward Lamon Obituary

Memorial service for Jerry Edward Lamon will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Gipson Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Williams officiating.

Mr. Lamon was born July 11, 1951 in Lufkin, Texas, son of the late Betty (Myers) and Harvey Dee Lamon. He passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at a local hospital.

Jerry loved golfing with his close friends. Jerry enjoyed reading, continuing his education, and engaging in thoughtful debates about current events.

Survivors include sisters, Robin Noel and Chuck of Austin, Rebecca Lamon of Lufkin, and Kelly Sumrall and Larry of Lufkin; brother, Mark Lamon and Jayne of Bismarck, ND; grandchildren, Alice Lamon of Frankston, TX and Scott Bergmann of Omaha, Nebraska; 4 great-grandchildren; nieces, Summer Kelley and Richard, and Kylie McMillion and Caden; nephews, Jesse Lamon, Tyler Lamon, Chris Noel, Craig Noel, and Dustin McPhail and Johvon; and numerous other friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, James Scott Lamon (2022); and brother, Terry Lamon (2015).

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
