He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos G. Hancock and Lucille Hancock; his wife Sophie; his son John Mark; and his siblings, Calvin, Alvin and Tommie.
He is survived by: his sons, James Steven (Diane) and Donald Ray (Nancy); and his siblings, Chuck, George, Francis and Patricia. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
