He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Travis Wier and Ina Wier (Horner); his son Larry Werland; and his grandson Jason Leymeister. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ellen Wier of Lufkin; his children, Lisa (Dave Leymeister) of Montgomery, TX, Joel (Teresa Wier) of Lufkin, Kim (Barry Bennett) of Lufkin and Daphine Kujawa; and his grandchildren, Blake (Christie Leymeister) of Montgomery, TX, Miles (Tori Leymeister) of Austin, TX, Sidney (Aaron Thompson) of Louisville, KY, Micah (Mac Graham) of Missouri City, Abigail Wier of Houston, TX, Noah (Jamie Wier) of Nacogdoches, TX and Fallon Hyde of Virgina. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Harmony Hill Baptist Church (2305 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75901).
