He was predeceased by: his parents, Lula Lee Bernice (Barnes) and Edward Valentine Taft Barringer, Sr.; his siblings, Edward Taft Barringer, Jr., George Barringer (Evelyn), John Barringer, James William Barringer and Jessie Martines (Francis); his brother-in-law Charles Morris; his niece Christina Barringer; and his nephew Allen Barringer.
He is survived by: his sisters, Sarah Morris of Diboll, Virginia (Jim Morrison) and Dixie Barringer of Diboll; his sisters-in-law, Joycie Barringer of Lufkin and Sandy Barringer of Hudson; and his nieces, Michelle (Troy Edwards) of Lufkin and Charlotte (David Carter) of Diboll. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Carroway Funeral Home (2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904). A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Largent Cemetery.
