He was predeceased by: his parents, Desmon Russell and Benna Dell Russell; his sister-in-law Rosie Herring; his sister Dianne; his brother-in-law Fred Hain; and his great grandchild Kallie Ryan Hopper.

He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Russell; his sisters, Lynda (Bob Melton), Carlyn (Duncan Garner) and Deborah (Alan Webb); his brother-in-law Joe Herring; his children, Craig (Melissa Russell), Carl (Suzanne Russell), Cathy (Mark Kettering), Tammy Miller (Amy) and Allen Rush; his former wife Mary Ann Russell; his grandchildren, Robert Russell, Carson, Megan Russell, Wesley, Jo Linn Russell, Katie, Jacob Hopper, Abbie, Jake Stifle, Christopher, Ryan Russell, Jack, Skye Illingsworth, Cora Rush, Preston, Ainsley Miller, Phillip, Sara Olegario and Taryn Trapp; his great grandchildren, Hudson, Finley, Rowan Russell, Keegan, Kennedy, Kollins Hopper, Max, Addison Stifle, Paul Olegario, Emily and Oscar Hernandez; his great great grandchild Sophia Hernandez; his godchildren, Jay, Aimee, Erika Weber, Seth Johnson, Erik McCoy, Brett, Chris, Austin, Matt Thompson, Elizabeth Brown and Cameron Jackson; and also, Sydney and Sadie Felts. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.
